Professional experience

 

Ingo Kastner works in the Environmental Psychology Division since 2012. The main focus of his research is on sustainable investment decisions and on interventions in the field of Environmental Psychology.

Ingo Kastner first studied business administration with focus on marketing on financial management at the University of cooperative education in Mannheim. This education was in cooperation with a company where he primarily worked as assistant in economy and marketing communication. Afterwards, he studied psychology at the Ruhr-University Bochum and at the University of Konstanz.

In the working group of environmental and cognition psychology of the Ruhr-University, Ingo Kastner worked on several projects. They especially involved the conception and evaluation of energy saving projects in organisations and private households.

Ingo Kastner continues those projects at the OVGU. Moreover he is working on the conceptional design of subvention models to promote sustainable investments. He received his PhD in 2016.
